Our symbol: The Reflection Digest symbol design is based on the spiral shape. Across many cultures, the spiral is an age-old intuitive symbol that represents growth, change, and progressive development. It’s a sign that also symbolizes knowledge, awareness, and reminds us of our evolving journey in life.

In psychology, it is used to demonstrate the potential for change and moving beyond any current circumstances. Where we are now is merely the starting point for where we are going. It shows that every day provides a new choice, a fresh opportunity for change, an opportunity to live up to our fullest potential. We have also integrated the circle as a representation of unity or a feeling of connectedness. Regardless of our individual positions within the circle of existence, there's a connection among us all. Together, they embody our ultimate mission at Reflection Digest.

Our Founder:

Hello, Melissa here!

I've always enjoyed journaling and all things personal growth and wellness since I was barely a teen. While clearing out my apartment a few years ago, I stumbled upon a stack of old journals I wrote from as far back as 19 years ago! I read them all, and I was inspired to start journaling again. Over the next several months, I found that my thoughts and ideas became clearer, leading me to become more intentional and connecting with myself again. I started doing more meditating, going for long walks, doing a lot more of the small things that give me joy. That process also allowed me to reflect and take reins over my life in ways I did not imagine.
Needless to say, my priorities from 19 years ago have changed, and my quest to find my perfect journal proved a bit challenging. I was looking for a journal that would help cover different areas of my life, as it would allow me to choose a topic that spoke to me at that moment and explore it. However, the options I found were mostly generic to-do lists planners or blank notebooks with fancy covers. From there, the idea of creating a journal that was simple to use, centered on the themes of wellness and personal growth emerged. That, coupled with my personal experience of working in the mental health field, I was inspired to create the 'Whole Self Journal', eventually Reflection Digest.
Every page of the Whole Self Journal is designed to help motivate you and fill your life with clarity, intention, balance, and gratitude. I believe those are things we all strive for, and I am right on this journey with you.
